
American actor Thomas William Selleck. His breakout role was playing the private investigator Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. He was nominated for five Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in the Drama Series (1980-1988) in the 1980-88 season, and took home the Emmy Award in 1985. Since 2010 Selleck has appeared in the role of New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. From 2005 onward the actor has played struggling police chief of small-town Jesse Stone in nine television films that were based on the Robert B.
