Carey, a former top model in fashion who measured at nearly 5'10", was popular with American designers like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father, an accomplished scientist who received the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists 1979 Scientist of Year award, is a highly respected geoscientist. Carey has lived across the globe due to his profession.
