Dennings was involved in a romantic affair with Nick Zano (co-star of "2 Broke Girls") from 2011 until the year 2014. Following their split Dennings started dating musician Josh Groban. They stayed together until the year 2016. Dennings first met Andrew W.K., a musician in the early years of 2021. They soon began dating and confirmed their engagement in the month of the May of 2021. Dennings, a musician fan since 2014, has been Dennings's first crush. Dennings is a Jew who was born into a Jewish family. She has expressed that although she has been brought up Jewish, her religion does not influence her in her personal life. For example, she enjoys reading, painting, and even gardening. When she was a child her initial intention to go to art school was foiled after a devastating flood destroyed the majority of her artwork.
