Sharon Yvonne Stone is the sole child from Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, who was a manufacturer of tool and dies, as well as a former employee of a plant. Her birth date was 10 March 1958, at Meadville Pennsylvania. She has three siblings: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone was in second grade when she entered kindergarten at the age of five. Saegertown School situated in Saegertown Pennsylvania was the high school she attended. Her graduation was in 1975. Additionally, she participated in Miss Pennsylvania. Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone and her aunt moved to New Jersey to New Jersey to begin a modeling career in the year 1977. The two signed on with The Ford Modeling Agency after a few months. While in Europe she was able to spend a whole year in Milano and Paris. Stone was, however, dissatisfied with the acting and modeling in Europe. Stone decided to keep her acting career going acting as a model while she lived there. Stone was a 20-year-old in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," the film which got mixed praises.
