Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age fourteen. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing BJJ and wrestling, she made her amateur debut against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was 18 years old. Ladd felt more confident following the win and fought 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell in the 1st round. Aspen returned to WCFC for the purpose of defeating Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian prior to going to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen as she beat her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's record as an amateur was marred. Ladd rebounded from the loss to defeat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015. Aspen signed with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta eleven saw Aspen take on Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and was victorious via submission armbar during the second round. Aspen utilized the abilities she acquired in wrestling to defeat McGill. She ended the fight with a an KO (3rd round) (elbows and punches). Aspen then went on to face Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight that was 138.1lb. Ladd was not in a position to make it, but Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy via TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina with her ground and pound tactics, resulting in a TKO second round victory. She repeated her dominance and picked up a more stunning victory in her next bout against Tonya Evinger in UFC 229. Ladd took on Evinger by a punch in the first round and earned a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her debut major fight. Both fighters fought one of the most competitive fights that Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. The two fighters each received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and finish Ladd and her streak. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. It was a unanimous decision in her favor.
