Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She graduated with a B.A. with a major in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in the fields of theater, film and TV. Her career began with theater, and was later featured in numerous television series and independent and mainstream films. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. On BET's epic series The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. She did not only get praise from critics for her role but was also awarded and nominations. She began her career as an actor in the year 1995 when she played Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Coming to her movie career she is best known for her performances in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. On television her regular role in the ABC's crime drama series High Incident has earned her high praise.
